Misty Circles

Description

Misty Circles is the title that I have given to this painting. Think of a morning walk in the fog. The feeling that you are moving in a hidden world, with muted sounds around you. An easy sense of calmness, hidden from the bustle around you.

The hustle and bustle manifested itself in the background. After making this I waited a while before I started with the next layer: the circles and small dots. I waited until I figured out how I wanted to transform the loud background into a painting radiating calmness, or tranquility.

The combination of the colours I used, both in the substrate and in the top layer, pleased me so much that I applied it a number of times in 2019. One of these new works can be found here, other new works in this color scheme will be added here shortly, as well as a print of this painting.
