Description
For me, Winter Circles is a logical title for this painting. Typical winter colours with a hint of green, in preparation for the approaching spring. Arising from a need for light. No matter how varied it is, having four seasons in the Netherlands, the winter often lasts too long.
After creating a background layer with white and gold, I wanted to show that layer better. Hence my choice to leave some spaces open between the circles. A few large dots as a starting point with flowing circles and connecting lines around it. I painted the small dots in cream white, gold, burgundy red, warm grey, green and gold. A colour combination that I liked, with a light and open appearance.
