Description
Winter colours were the starting point of this dot painting, which I made with large and small dots. I started with a base of blue, brown and gold plus loads of glitter.
On earlier paintings I had already experimented with mixing paint and glitter, without the desired effect. For this painting I therefore chose to sprinkle the glitter on the wet painted surface. The effect was sometimes blinding while I mostly painted with artificial light. Fortunately the end result is more subtle, with all the painted little dots.
This painting is inspired by a painting that I made around Christmas 2018.
